Healthcare Professionals FAQs
Answers to all your burning questions about working with Anders Group – and a few you didn’t even know you to ask.
You can start immediately. Once our application process is complete, you will be considered based on your preferences and your skills and will be offered appropriate positions. A recruiter will reach out to discuss your ideal start date.
You will fill out an online application. You will be asked to provide complete work history information as well as asked preference of shift, type of work and preference of location.
After the application is complete, an Anders Group recruiter will reach out to you to discuss your goals and potential job opportunities. Your recruiter will send any potential leads meeting your criteria and see if you would be interested in submitting.
If the facility is interested in your profile, a phone interview will be coordinated. This is the best time to ask questions to see if this job placement will be a fit for you, as well as the facility finding the best candidate.
Following the interview process, the facility will let Anders Group know if they would like to offer a contract and pay package.
If you do accept, we will then begin the compliance and placement process to begin the assignment.
Not every job is going to meet the expectations you have. If you are not interested in a position, you are free to decline. We will continue to offer positions to you based on your skills and preferences in hopes we can find a match.
We realize that not every job is a good fit for you, sometimes you do not know that until you have tried the position. If you are on an assignment and find it is not going to work for you, we will ask that you contact us immediately. As with any interaction, communication is the key. We will try to help remedy the situation or can potentially provide a notice for the contract.
As an applicant, you will not pay for any of the services Anders Group provides. We are on contract with healthcare facilities to help fill their needs as an outsourced HR resource.
Some of our travel healthcare jobs will be posted on our website. However, often the most appealing travel health contract positions will fill very quickly. A committed recruiter will be in constant communication for job matches.
Pay rates are always competitive and vary by assignment, discipline, specialty and experience. Please contact your recruiter to find out sample pay packages.
Most assignments are 13 weeks but could range from a few weeks to as long as a year.

Yes, you can travel with a pet. Please let your recruiter know, before accepting housing, of your desire to travel with a pet to ensure the accommodations are pet-friendly.
Many new graduates start their careers as contractors. However, as a new graduate, since you are still gaining experience, we will need to match you with a facility that is able to offer mentorship and the support needed to make the transition. We encourage new graduates to be flexible in preferred setting and location since we do need to find you a facility that can offer these resources.
It is hard for us to lay out an exact mentorship program for new graduates. We work with facilities in all settings, nationwide, that all have different programs. When looking at potential job contracts, if submitting, we make the client aware of your experience. During the interview, they will address their mentorship resources to make sure you feel you will have the support needed. We do not want new graduates to feel overwhelmed or not enjoy their first contract. Many of our contractors see travel as a full-time career, and we want you to love your experience to continue working contract assignments.
We do help employees get licensed in other states. Please let your recruiter know if you are looking to get licensure elsewhere. We can help with licensure reimbursements and the application process for obtaining these licenses.
The government dictates per diem allowances by area. For example, Honolulu will have a higher allowance than Paris, TX. Please reach out to your recruiter for the per diem rates offered with a job contract.
You are only committed to the contract you accept. Most are 13 weeks. We hope you will love your experience with Anders Group and continue accepting contracts, however, there is no long-term commitment.
Your Anders Group recruiter will arrange housing for you if needed before you arrive at the destination of your travel assignment. We can also reimburse lodging if preferred.
We pride ourselves on building a personal relationship with you. Your Anders Group recruiter will be your advocate and guide you through every step of the process and will always prioritize your needs and goals to find the best match possible for you.
In addition to having a dedicated recruiter, your benefits also begin day one. Anders Group benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, long-term disability, short-term disability and 401(k) along with reimbursements for items such as travel expenses, rental car allowance and licenses. We work hard to offer the best-paid travel assignments.
