Anders Traveler FAQs

Why choose Anders Group?

We pride ourselves on building a personal relationship with you. Your Anders Group recruiter will be your biggest advocate and guide you through each and every step of the process. We will always prioritize your needs and goals to find the best match possible for you.

How soon can I start working as a travel healthcare professional?

You can start immediately. Once our application process is complete, you will be considered based on your preferences and skills. A recruiter will reach out to you to offer appropriate healthcare positions and discuss your ideal start date.

How long are travel healthcare assignments?

Most assignments are 13 weeks long, but could range from a few weeks to as long as a year. A benefit to travel healthcare positions is the flexibility to stay if you would like, or try out something new once your assignment is complete.

What is involved in the application process for travel healthcare jobs?

You will fill out an online application with a complete work history. We will also ask for your preferred shift, setting, and location. Once your application is complete, a recruiter will reach out to you to discuss your goals and potential job opportunities. They will send any potential jobs meeting your criteria and see if you are interested in submitting. If a facility is interested in your profile, a phone interview will be coordinated. This is the best time to ask questions to see if the placement is a fit for you. Following the interview, the facility will let us know if they would like to offer a contract and provide the pay package. If you do accept, we begin compliance and placement process for you to start the travel assignment.

How can I stay informed about open travel healthcare jobs?

Most of our travel healthcare jobs will be posted on our Job Board. Often the most appealing travel healthcare assignments fill very quickly, and a committed recruiter will be in constant communication for your job matches. You may also set up Job Alerts to be notified of any similar positions.

What if I am not interested in a certain travel healthcare position when it is offered? Is it alright to turn down?

Not every job is going to meet the expectations you have. If you are not interested in a position, you are free to decline. We will continue to offer positions based on your skills and preferences.

What if I am on a travel healthcare assignment and decide it is not for me?

We realize that not every job is a good fit for you, and sometimes you won't know until you have tried the position. If you are on an assignment and find it is not going to work for you, we will ask that you contact us immediately. As with any interaction, communication is key. We will try to help remedy the situation or can provide a notice for the contract.

How long is my commitment to Anders Group?

You are only committed to the travel contract you accept. Most are 13 weeks. We hope you love your experience with us and continue accepting contracts, however, there is no long-term commitment.

Does Anders Group sponsor visas for international healthcare professionals?

At the moment, our company only hires individuals who are US citizens or already possess a valid work visa. We are not able to sponsor international hires.

New Grad

What if I am a new graduate?

Many new graduates start their careers as contractors. Because you are still gaining experience, we will need to match you with a facility that is able to offer mentorship and the support needed to make the transition. We encourage new graduates to be flexible in preferred setting and location since we do need to find a facility that offers these resources. We work with facilities in all settings nationwide that all have varying programs. When submitting to potential job contracts, we make the client aware of your experience. During the interview, they will address their mentorship resources to make sure you feel you will have the needed support. Many of our contractors see travel as a full-time career. We want you to love your experience and continue working contract assignments with us.

Pay & Benefits

What do I pay for your services?

As an applicant, you do not pay for any services Anders Group provides. We are on contract with healthcare facilities to help fill their needs as an outsourced HR resource.

How do I calculate my pay package?

Your pay package is highly dependent on the location of your assignment, facility, and contract negotiation. Each pay package is different, and calculating your gross weekly can be the ultimate deciding factor in accepting a travel job that meets your needs. We offer a free downloadable guide to Understanding Your Pay Package.

How much do travel healthcare professionals earn?

Pay rates are competitive and vary by assignment, discipline, specialty, experience, and location. Please contact your recruiter to find out sample pay packages.

How are per diem rates determined?

The government dictates per diem allowances by area. For example, Honolulu will have a higher allowance than Paris, TX. Please reach out to your recruiter for the per diem rates offered in your preferred location.

Do you help with state licensure?

Yes. We help our healthcare professionals get licensed in other states. Please let your recruiter know if you are looking to get licensure elsewhere. We can help with licensure reimbursements and the application process for obtaining these licenses.

What are the benefits of working in travel healthcare through Anders Group?

In addition to having a dedicated recruiter, your benefits also begin day one. Anders Group benefits include medical, dental, vision, and basic life AD&D. We also provide 401(k) along with reimbursements for items such as travel expenses, rental car allowance, and licensure. We work hard to offer the best-paid travel healthcare assignments for you.

Traveling & Housing

Can I work from my permanent home?

Yes. Some facilities we staff are open to local contractors. If traveling locally, we are not able to offer per diem reimbursements.

What are my housing options?

Your Anders Group recruiter will arrange housing for you if needed before you arrive at the destination of your travel healthcare assignment. We can also reimburse your lodging expenses if preferred.

Can I travel with a pet?

Yes, you can travel with a pet. If your recruiter is helping you find housing, please let them know before accepting to ensure the accommodations are pet-friendly.
