Understanding Payroll Dynamics
Let's talk payroll—the topic that isn’t often discussed but important since it’s all about how travelers get paid. At Anders Group, we want to ensure your travel adventures come with the perk of a smooth paycheck process. So, how does the pay system work for a traveler?
As your employer, Anders Group negotiates contracts and pay terms to present to our travelers.. Once your contract is finalized and accepted by you, it's submitted to our payroll team. They will then share the timecard process for that particular contract. Each facility may have a unique logging process, request for supporting documents, etc, so although the Anders process is consistent, typically there are some nuances per contract. This specific timecard information will typically be provided by our payroll timecard team the week prior to your travel contract start date.
You'll get a time card template, along with guidance on entering regular hours, overtime, and other relevant details. Also to note, you'll work a week then submit those hours to be paid the week following. Traveler payroll is typically weekly unless a unique facility situation of biweekly which would be presented upon the offer. At the end of the last shift of the week, or potentially Monday following the working week, travelers will submit their timecards for processing. These are then paid a few days later at the end of the week. We are so thankful for our dedicated payroll team who work hard to process hours with a very quick turnaround. The weeks that can cause a bit of stress for our travelers and teams, are weeks that include holidays since this often comes with bank closure. We proactively connect with our travelers to let them know of any time constraints and move up timelines to be sure they are processed in time.
Understanding the payroll process is crucial for ensuring that you get paid correctly and timely. This understanding not only provides peace of mind but also lets you focus on the exciting aspects of travel healthcare.
