Pensacola, FL sits at the western end of the Florida Panhandle, stretching its healthcare between the bay and I-10. Diagnostic imaging spreads through several parts of the city rather than one corridor, and the naval presence keeps the patient mix broader than the city's size suggests. Geography does the sorting here: I-110 drops from I-10 into downtown, while US-98 crosses the bay toward Gulf Breeze and Navarre; worksites on that side belong to a different commute entirely. Housing follows the same split, bayside or city-side, and there's no splitting the difference. Gulf Islands National Seashore settles most days off, with the white sand a couple of bridges south, and downtown's Palafox Street takes the city-side evenings.
