Operating Room nursing depends on preparation, precision, and communication. You'll coordinate the flow of each surgical case, protect patient safety, support sterile practice, and help the OR team move smoothly from pre-op checks through final handoff.

Requirements for this Travel Operating Room Assignment

  • 2+ years of recent Operating Room experience
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Active Maine RN license or Compact License, if applicable
  • Current BLS certification

Responsibilities for Operating Room travel job:

  • Provide bedside nursing care in the OR Operating Room unit
  • Create and update individualized patient care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
  • Document patient care accurately in EMR systems
