Memphis, TN serves a broad Mid-South population through its hospitals and emergency care. For an RN arriving for an assignment, the city also has a musical identity you can hear and explore in several neighborhoods. Downtown combines the Mississippi riverfront with restaurants and performance venues, while Midtown and South Memphis have their own cultural stops. Shelby Farms Park adds substantial green space away from the downtown streets. Bartlett, Germantown and Collierville belong to the wider metro and deserve separate consideration when choosing a base. A longer stay leaves time for both familiar Memphis landmarks and smaller visits centered on music, history or a neighborhood meal.
