How much experience do travel occupational therapist jobs require?
Most travel OT jobs require two years of recent OT work. Some accept one year. Each job page lists the experience needed for the role.
Can I use the OT Compact for a travel contract?
Yes, if you're eligible and both your home and destination states offer OT Compact privileges. You must live in the home state and hold an unencumbered license there. Complete the required background check and any state law exam, then obtain the destination privilege before practicing. State membership alone does not mean privileges are available.
How long do travel occupational therapy jobs last?
Anders Group says most of its travel assignments are 13 weeks, with shorter and longer options possible. For an OT assignment, the specific contract's dates determine how long you are committing to that role.
Does an active OT license mean my NBCOT certification is current?
No. State licensure and NBCOT certification have separate renewal processes. NBCOT certification is renewed every three years to maintain active status. An active state license alone does not confirm that your NBCOT certification is current.
