Travel IMCU Nurse Job Description:
An Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Nurse, also known as a Step-Down Nurse, is a registered nurse (RN) who works in a specialized healthcare unit that bridges the gap between general medical-surgical care and intensive care. IMCU nurses provide care to patients who require a higher level of monitoring and interventions than those on regular medical-surgical floors but who are not critically ill enough to be in the intensive care unit (ICU).
