Does Colorado accept NMTCB(CT) for general CT imaging?
Yes, Colorado accepts NMTCB(CT) and ARRT(CT) for general CT imaging. You'll also need the qualifying underlying registry in radiography, nuclear medicine or radiation therapy.
What CT work can a nuclear medicine tech do in Colorado?
Colorado accepts ARRT(N), CNMT and NMAA for hybrid nuclear medicine/CT imaging under 6 CCR 1007-1 Part 02. General diagnostic CT needs further qualification, such as ARRT(CT) or NMTCB(CT); the nuclear medicine credential by itself does not cover that broader work.
Do Colorado trauma centers require an in-house CT technologist?
Yes at Level I and Level II. Colorado's trauma designation criteria (6 CCR 1015-4, section 303) require an in-house radiographer and an in-house CT technologist promptly available 24 hours a day and in less than 30 minutes when a trauma surgeon requests them, with conventional radiography and CT available on the same terms. Level III and lower designations have separate criteria.
Do ARRT-registered CT techs need Colorado operator registration?
For CT work, 6 CCR 1007-1 Part 02 doesn't require separate operator registration if you hold a current, valid ARRT registry and meet its CT qualifications.
